Hello! I'm Alston Rousseau, and my Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) IDST-499 Capstone Project, Guerrilla DEI, tackles the urgent crisis of diversity, equity, and inclusion in America. At this moment, organizations nationwide are actively dismantling DEI programs, while the federal government emboldens white supremacy, leaving hiring managers isolated in the fight for workplace equity.

My research leverages interdisciplinary insights from World Studies, Organizational Development, and Psychology to provide actionable, proven methods that individual managers can implement immediately, even without broader organizational backing.

My goal is to empower everyday leaders to sustain equity and belonging in their teams through targeted interventions like inclusive job descriptions, diverse finalist selection, and bias-resistant hiring techniques.

Join me in taking a stand—right now, one hire at a time.
